I spent the bank holiday Monday visiting some friends at BattleUX (Uxbridge Gaming Club). There were some great games going on during the day including a demo of Dropzone Commander (a game I have been quite intrigued by).
I am working on some fluff for an Eldar martial order that outdates the Fall of the Eldar and the Aspects laid down by Asuryan. Due to this I have been reading up on every scrap of Eldar fluff I can get my hands on. Read on for what I have thus far.
Not much content at the moment as I am working to get my Horus Heresy Blood Angels up to a playable state (2 troops and HQ).
Above you can see five extra marines for the second combat squad of tactical squad one and then ten assault marines who will be my second troops choice. Then to the left I am working on a Legion Outriders unit with some custom bases for all of them :)
Hopefully, I shall get some primer on them tonight and show them off tomorrow.

The Blood Angels are nearly there. The pigments and Oil washes are done except for the black oil wash... need to get some black oil paint first. Of course I should also go back and do some work on the power weapons as the blends are pretty messy still.
Myself and Lucif3r from Codex of War had a game on Wednesday where I was trying out my new list seen here and his first CSM list with the new codex which he has been developing on the Papa Nurgle forum here.
My first Horus Heresy Blood angels Contemptor is well on his way to being finished. The Airbrush work is done and 99.9% of the brush work is done. I am going to go back in and try to highlight the gold sections with some Advice from my buddy Joel to use a silver with some added white for a sharp highlight. Also now I see the pic above I need to work on the lenses a little more.
When I built my Necron army it was designed from the gound up to work with the comp rules for Bristol Vanguard's Vanquish tournament.
The tournament was last month and I am now looking at removing the comp and adding some teeth back in. See the list after the jump break:
Kickstarter is always full of great projects and wargaming is more and more common on the crowd funding site. When Secret Weapon Miniatures (a particular favorite, supplier of mine) announced their Kickstarter I knew it would be worthwhile.
"Secret Weapon's plastic Tablescape Tiles fit on any table or flat surface to create the ultimate miniature gaming environment."
Happy Bank Holiday to the Brits today! As it is a public holiday here today this shall be a short post showing off my progress on the Horus Heresy Blood Angels Contemptor Dreadnought.
I have been trying my hand at messing with silicone. It's messy and a lot of fun. However, you really need to plan ahead. This post I shall go over my resin casting experience and what I will be doing differently. I forgot to take any pics while working with the silicone (I was far too busy being confused) but I promise to cover this after reworking my design to cast.
The Blood Angels are still on the workbench. These guys are entering the home stretch now all that I have left to do are oil washes and then pigments and they will be ready for play.
This is purely a "do what you can when you can" sort of thing. Although there may be some rewards for anyone who gets enough points for the whole campaign ready at the end of the 5 months.
