Bloody Dice

Another week has gone by world, so once again it's that time where we take a look at another unit in the Iron Kingdoms setting.

Still with Legion of Everblight, but this week I will be having a look at a unit that I have been using in a few of my lists recently and is quickly becoming one of my favourite units, Raptors.

A new chapter of the Warmachine saga has been announced. Bringing new casters as well as Epic versions of old ones, this will give us a number of new options for tactics and list building.

I'm back for part 3 of the unit review series, still concentrating on the Legion of Everblight for the moment, and this week I'm going to take a look at Grotesques.

Forge World keep delivering the goods. This time essentially providing some up armoured MK2/3 war plate that I may need to pick up for some variety in my Heresy Blood Angels.

Forge World say:

For those Iron Hands who have been found wanting in the eyes of their Primarch, there remains a final chance at glory and redemption within the ranks of the Medusan Immortals.

The Immortals are always found where the battle is fiercest and the chances of survival, even for a Legiones Astartes, are at its dimmest. Armed and armoured principally as Breacher units and featuring a high level of cybernetic rebuild among them, it is their lot and their pride to fight and to die with steadfast cold fury, never breaking ranks, marching relentlessly into the jaws of hell.

Designed by Israel Gonzalez, the Medusan Immortals are a five man multi-part kit clad in MkIII Iron Armour that features many details such as cybernetic limbs, and includes optional lascutter and graviton guns.

"As iron sharpens iron, so truth cuts, and war makes right"

Ancient Proverb of the Medusan Clans

My Necron Army painted as the Sautekh Dynasty are now up on eBay. Each unit is being auctioned individually here. If you would like a better look at each unit I ran some Showcase posts for this army awhile back which can be seen here. First up is the Destroyer Lord converted from a Wraith seen above.

I'm back universe, for article 2 in the unit review series.

This week I'm still going to be focusing on Legion of Everblight (let me know the units/forces you want reviewed and I will see what I can do) with another unit I don't like leaving home without, Striders.

Greetings universe, this is the first article in what I hope will be a constructive series of unit reviews for Warmachine and Hordes.

I am going to start off with one of the force I know the best, Legion of Everblight, and decided to start with the unit I never play without, Swordsmen.

Actual hobby progress has been light this weekend. This is due to having been working on moulds for the hammers I showed off last week. The above will be my Minotaur Terminator Sergeants hammer... its epic. However, I have been wrestling with some quality issues and some mould lines that are pretty nasty. It is getting better but I am taking some time to clean up the casts before using them.

Other than playing with resin I also played with some new toys. Me and Lucif3r have been messing around with Fantasy Flights new game Xwing using the models out of our starter sets. However now we have added some new units and we were just itching to try them out.

I have had a battle with the mould for this during the week. Two moulds later and I am finally casting. Still some tidy up needed and maybe a few alterations to the mould but as I only need 5 it isn't too much hassle.

It seems bigger now... I am considering a double sided hammer for the sergeant. Does this sound like a good plan?

Greetings, I'm back again. This time to let everyone know my success and failings using a new Warlock.

I have played Thagrosh for a very long time and had never really considered using another caster. After realising this I put on my brave hat and decided to take the plunge, I am going play with a new caster.

This was a daunting decision for me (being so reliant on the prophet) but I figured if I want to be a better player then I will have to branch out and increase my experience.

I looked at the various Legion casters for a long time before finally making my decision.. I would play Bethayne.
