Bloody Dice

I just couldn't help myself.

First it was just Coteaz and a small crew of three Servitors with Multi-Meltas.  Then I found a few more GW Flagellant bodies... Then a few Plasma Cannons...

Suddenly, before I know it, I've got another three Servitors and they're in need of another Inqusitor!

Digging through one of my many boxes of models, bits and assorted hobby goodness I found the Titan Crew from Forge World.  The model just exudes that sneering arrogance that I can imagine a Inquisitor having.

Back with more soon!

Having had my precious Sternguard utterly ravaged by Coteaz, when playing a friend last week, due to his "I've Been Expecting You" rule I decided (once I had overcome my rage) to join the cheesy beard club and make my own Coteaz and crew for an Inquisitorial detachment.

Finding the metal Coteaz model I had tucked away was one thing, but it was the Servitors that were the most challenging/fun to build.  It wasn't a complex conversion by any stretch of the imagination, but I wanted to create a unique Servitor, whilst maintaining the "style" of the GW models.

So, hobby knife in hand, I scoured my bits box for Multi-Meltas and appropriate bits, I created this little gang.

C&C welcome, feel free to ask questions, or share your own kitbashed Servitors in the comments section.

I am trying to get this batch of Blood Angels done and dusted before starting to throw paint on the Minotaurs. I have all the airbrush stages done now with a satin varnish on to protect it. Next up I shall block out the non red areas then base coats for metallics etc and finally start the oil washes.

I have started work on a mock up for my Minotaurs Assault Marines. At this point everything is just tacked together with parts still to clean and modelling work still to go. However, as a proof of concept this guy is about right.

While getting the Word Bearers painted I have been messing around with a few little build projects. Usually I try to keep each project updated separately on here but as I have a little backlog on posts I thought I should give you a roundup. First up is the guys above. He will be a Tigurius/Tyrannic War Librarian I was commissioned to build. I won't lie, I am going to be sad to hand him over. A few cables and gap filling etc are needed to finish him off.

Finally with the new marine dex released recently I have opened the hallowed Minotaurs project box.

A quick post today. While I was working on the GS fur for my Mordheim warband I thought I would add some to this model. I feel it adds a further barbarism to him which suits the Legion.

As mentioned in a post last week I am taking part in a Mordheim campaign at the FLGS using a warband from Marienburg. The theme will be a group of disgraced Night Watchmen; implicated in smuggling, who fled Marineburg before their former colleagues could arrest them. Desperate and with no where else to turn they were drawn to Mordheim the City of the Damned.

The warband is pretty much done and ready for paint.

I have been trying to push the boat out on the Word Bearers Conversions. Above is the finalized version of my Chaos Lord although I may consider adding a Trophy Rack to his backpack as no self respecting Chaos Warlord can go without a few loyalists skulls about his person.

Read on to see the new conversions for the Sorcerer and first squad of Word Bearer Chaos Space Marines.

Quick post today jsut to show what I have been working on this weekend. Above you can see the current state of my Chaos Lord for the Word Bearers army I am working on. Below is a First draft as it were while I played around with some alternative parts. Oddly, i bought the model as I thought the Deamonic Head would be perfect for Word Bearers and then after a few head swap tests I found the trusty Chaos Knight heads looked much more appropriate.

It's been a while, but finally I have found the time to add to Martoks excellent work.

There is a Warmachine & Hordes tournament coming up at the end of June, the perfect motivation to get my 35 point force painted and ready to destroy all before it in the name of Everblight, this is my progress report for week 1 of preparations.

I have been working on the Necrons to get them ready for some tournaments in March. One of the last things to paint in the list has been the Ghost Ark. I decided that I really hate the idea of robots piloting robots so I have removed all pilots in the Necron vehicles. Read on for more

The Blog has been pretty quiet recently as I have been feverishly plugging away at the Necrons. They are almost done and I shall put up a showcase when they are but for now I am working on the last few models needed (due to certain list changes for particular tournaments). Above is a  Destroyer Lord conversion to lead my Wraiths at Throne of Blades 2013. More models after the jump.
